Privacy Policy

Your payroll stays in your browser
When you import a CSV or Excel file, it is read inside your browser tab and turned into a PDF there. Worker names, identifying numbers, hours, rates and pay are never sent to our server or to anyone else. The page can only talk to its own server (enforced by its Content Security Policy), and the only things it ever sends us are a Stripe Checkout session id after a purchase, and the email address you type if you ask us to resend your key (see below). Loaded payroll is held in page memory and is gone when you close or reload the tab.
What is saved on your device
The Tool uses your browser’s local storage (not cookies) to keep, on your device only: project settings you type (business name and address, project details, certifying official name and title, statement checkboxes, remarks), saved column mappings (column names only), the current week ending date, and your license keys. No worker payroll values are stored. The Clear all data button removes all of it. You can also clear it with your browser’s site-data settings.
What our server keeps when you buy
Payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe’s own checkout pages; we never see your card details. When a payment completes, Stripe tells our server, and we store a license record so we can issue, email and renew your key and help with support:
- your email address and the project name you typed at checkout;
- the plan (project-month or monthly), issue and expiry dates, and your license key;
- Stripe identifiers (customer, checkout session, subscription and invoice ids) and the plan status (active or canceled).
After checkout, the page sends our server the Stripe Checkout session id (and nothing else) to fetch your key. We keep license records for the life of your plan plus 2 years, for tax and accounting records, then delete them.
“Resend my key”
If you lose your key, you can type the email address you used at checkout into the “Lost your key?” form (in the License section or at /resend/). The page sends our server that email address and nothing else. We use it only to look up your license records and, if you have current keys, to email those same keys to that address from hello@automationglass.com. We look it up in our own license records and, by email, in Stripe’s customer records (so a key is found even if you changed your email in the Stripe customer portal). The address you type is not stored: it is not written to our license records or logs. To limit abuse, our server keeps, in memory only, a one-way hash of the address for up to 24 hours (to send at most 3 resend emails per address per day) and a count of requests per IP address for one hour. The answer on the page is the same whether or not the address has a license. As with every license email, a copy of a resend email is kept in our mailbox’s Sent Items folder.
Who processes data for us
- Stripe processes payments and runs the customer portal (subject to Stripe’s privacy policy). When you use “Resend my key”, we ask Stripe (read-only) which customer records have that email address.
- Microsoft 365 sends the emails with your license keys (including resent keys) from hello@automationglass.com.
- Our server runs on a virtual private server we rent; the data above is stored there and in encrypted backups. A copy of each license email (key, project name, your email address) is also kept in the Sent Items folder of our hello@automationglass.com mailbox (Microsoft 365).
We do not sell or share your information for advertising.
Logs
Like any website, our web server records basic access logs (IP address, time, page path without the query string, browser user agent and response status) for security and troubleshooting. They are kept for up to 30 days. Our application logs record payment event types, Stripe ids and license ids only, never emails, project names or keys. To limit abuse, the key-fetch endpoint counts requests per IP address in memory for one minute, and the resend form as described above.
No analytics, no cookies
This site uses no analytics, no advertising or tracking scripts, no third-party scripts and no cookies. Stripe’s checkout and portal pages, which you visit on stripe.com, have their own cookies and policy.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your license record, to correct it, or to delete it by emailing hello@automationglass.com. We may need to keep payment records required for tax purposes. We do not knowingly serve children; the Tool is for businesses.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. See also our terms of use.
About the WH-347 Layout Tool
- Browser-only: your CSV or Excel payroll export is read and laid out in your browser. Payroll is never uploaded. No account.
- Optional layout: it produces the WH-347 layout (Rev. January 2025, OMB 1235-0008). Use of Form WH-347 itself is optional; the weekly payroll information and a signed Statement of Compliance are what you submit.
- Price: free watermarked preview. Clean PDF + normalized CSV: $39 one-time for one project (31 days) or $29/month for one project.
- Not legal, payroll or tax advice. You review the output and the certifying official signs page 2.
